Greetings,
There was a server crash a few days ago, during this time i moved the Ark files from a SATA to SSD drive to speed up everything.
I believed there was no corruption but it appears the server crash created a save game which was corrupt, so when i rebooted at 5am it loaded a corrupt save game and due to internal redundancy the last save it could use was 3 days ago.

I have tried several backups from a few hours to a few days and the best i could do was a 3 day old backup, day 1045.

I will keep monitoring it.

For Compensation, please message me in the forum, so i have a list of what you have lost and decide what to compensate, dinos will not be compensated (unless you want a very low level one). If you do receive compensation you are not to discuss what was compensated.

Server is to be wiped at 7PM

Nothing even after your final reboot; simply restarted server and is still on 1045.

Honestly i'd rather a wipe idk what everyone else thinks though.

Honestly as alpha tribe. I think id rather it just wipe then lose days of progress. Seems to be an ongoing issue.

Even the playing field for everyone even if its short lived lol.

I believe a full wipe is not the way to go, does that mean we wipe the server every time it corrupts and has to roll back a few days?
I lost alot of work done in the last 3 days, this has happened to me before on previous servers and there is not much that can be done, this is what happens when playing a BETA game.
I suggest we keep base protection on this weekend and skip raiding for a week to give people time to redo everything that has been lost and resume normal raiding next weekend as an alternative to a full wipe.

I will provide compensation once i confirm the server is fine.
As i have to work, i will be on at 6:30pm to do a reboot to see if the server will be fine, after this time i will be providing compensation, I will also be on TeamSpeak if you wish to talk then.

You work too hard on this server mate Wouldn't ask for a better admin.

We are only 11/15 on the votes anyway.

It will be way easier than compensating everyone. the list of things we lost is huge. More people would come around to it and it will give a chance for the PVP on the server to be re-invigorated.
