I have noticed a few large tribes out there, most are friendly i know but what do people think about an honour code,
dont attack people under __ level .. eg Level 50.

This is a good idea but how many will stick to it? What would stop high lvl players arming a low lvl player just to attack others? A good idea but one that would be too easily manipulated.

I have noticed the server is attracting more new players, but the problem is there is always someone who will offline raid them. New players log on, find they have been killed and their base destroyed, and leave the server.

Is there a way to implement a new player protection system? Make it so they, their base and any tamed dino's can't be killed/destroyed for XX amount of hours, or until they reach level X? Of course, if they attack other players or structures then their protection is automatically cancelled.

I'm in agreement with this.
We've been playing on this server for a little while now, and are considering leaving because we are finding it hard to progress to the level other players are at. Everytime we log in we find we have been offline raided and need to start from scratch to rebuild our base, re-outfit ourselves and retame dinos.
There have been some helpful people on this server, and plenty of the other players know that attacking or offline raiding a low-level player is pretty low, but its getting really frustrating when we come online and find the few hours we have available to play and grow our base we now need to spend catching back up.
It's not enjoyable. It's one step forward, two steps back.

I understand that it's part of the game, and later on when we can have a chance to defend ourselves (considering we are also offline working most of the day) maybe it could be an experience that wont ruin the game so much for us.

Right now they are literally taking candy from babies and that's not very fair play.

Sorry for the late reply, thought i already addressed this.

Refer to Base Protection Enabled

I have enabled base protection during the week to give new players the opportunity to build while not worrying about being raided.
Weekends are the only time protection is NOT enabled.
