130 seemed great. 200 is way to high.
Screw the screamers, they should not have the right to trump the game play of others. 150 would be the absolute max to me. I was like yay! 130 when I first saw your post. Don't cave in. Make them fall in line. 200 tames is absurd and are not required at all

Re: Dino Limits
Kiff, i know it seems the world revolves around you....
but i listen to all player concerns...
I prefer to be more cautious when i implement changes and will make minor adjustments, like i have done for years, every tweak here and there... i gave people plenty of notice of the dino limit to prepare them, but its also an unknown settings, so i will adjust it when i feel it needs it, like i have done before.

Re: Dino Limits
I have to say I was amazed at how many dinos you actually need in this game. I thought 130 was plenty but I checked the figures and I actually have 141, as a solo!
Imprinting is one of the worst mechanics in the game. Not only do people have to set their alarm and wake up every 3 hours to fully imprint, you need 15 different egg types to make sure you are ready. To promote egg production you need mate boost and an oviraptor, so there is 31 dinos already.
200 is a good, fair number. Considering the officials are capping at 400 I think it is appropriate and with the new networking profiles could even be increased later.
Good job Munki.

Re: Dino Limits
Kiff, when you say "Screw the screamers", are you talking about yourself? Because so far the only person I have seen to actually have a good old fashioned hissy fit about the dino cap has been you. I am a solo player running what is essentially the Islands' largest active tribe, and I had 270 dinos as of yesterday. That includes some dinos for their utility/resource gathering, some dinos for eggs and kibble, some specialised Quetz and Bronto builds for various tasks, some boss killers (in progress), some base defence dinos, some breeding stock, and believe it or not, some dinos for nothing more than straight up fun. I have already culled my way closer to the 200 cap, however another tribe which recently merged on the Island had almost 400 dinos to clean up. The game is about fun for all players, not "catering to kiff". 200 is a fair compromise between 'hyper compact solo player' and 'sprawling 6 man alpha tribe', which prevents people from lagging the entire server into the ground with their needless army of unused dinos. Be happy with the fact that we can keep all sides relatively satisfied at this number.

Types that poorly formatted rant and says I'm the one chucking a hissy fit.
lol...
It's called feedback. No need to get all pissy.

I'm not pissy in any way, and what I typed wasn't a rant, simply an explanation of the situation faced by many other tribes. All I'm trying to do is give you some 'feedback' that you have had your say and nobody really cares to hear you repeat it for the hundredth time.
